Creating a workflow

To create a workflow, log in to your Penzle account, and perform the following steps:

  1. Go to Development > Workflows to display the View Workflows screen.
  2. Click + New workflow. The New workflow screen appears.
  3. Fill in the values:
  • Name - the system displays this name to users in the administration interface.
  • Use check-in check-out - Prevent several users from simultaneously editing the same content by using the content locking (check-in/check-out) feature.
  1. Click Save to validate the information that you have entered.

Adding a step to the workflow

To add a step, click Create step and fill in the values:

  • Name - the system displays this name to users in the administration interface.
  • Icon - icon for a step.
  1. Click Apply to validate the information that you have entered.
Tip

Icons are a great way to stay organized and make it easy for content authors. Simply assign an icon that reflects the step in your process.

Adding a command to a step

To add a command to a step:

  1. Click on the Step you want to assign commands to.
  2. Fill in the values:
  • Name - the system displays this name to users in the administration interface.
  • Icon - icon for a command.

Defining the final state

To specify the final state, click the state you want to be the workflow's final state and check the Final box.
